The Heart(s) Behind the Compass
This work didn’t start as a business idea—it started as lived experience.
Even as a part-time caregiver, I found myself in moments that felt isolating, overwhelming, and often unspoken.
There were resources available, yes—but very little that truly reflected the emotional weight, the uncertainty, and the day-to-day reality of caring for someone with dementia. What I needed wasn’t just information. I needed clarity. I needed reassurance. I needed something that felt human.
CaregivingCompass.org grew out of that need.
It’s a "Digital Sanctuary" I’ve built not just to share tools and guidance, but to create something I wish I had earlier—a place where caregivers can feel understood, supported, and a little less alone in the journey.
Because behind every caregiving role is a person trying to do their best in a situation no one is fully prepared for.
The "Who" Behind Our Mission
This isn’t the product of a large team or polished corporate machine.
It’s been shaped by the quiet support of many—through encouragement, shared wisdom, and lived experience.
Like you, I’ve gathered what works—real ideas, proven practices, and everyday lessons—and turned them into something practical, evolving, and meant to be used.
